What is a Forum and why do we need it?
A Neighbourhood Forum is a group of people who work together to create a Neighborhood Plan for an area without a town or parish council. They are responsible for leading the neighborhood planning process and giving communities the power to shape how their area develops.
what is a Neighbourhood Plan?
A Neighbourhood Plan is a community led planning document that sets a number of Policies regarding the use of the land in a specific area. Once completed it will be incorporated into the County Plan. It gives local residents the power to decide where new homes or businesses should go and what they should look like.
What area does a Neighbourhood Plan cover?
At the start of the Process of developing a Neighbourhood Plan, the applicable area must be defined, and approved by the County Council.
